Fantastická Ostrava is the largest pop-culture festival in the region, bringing together films, comics, cosplay, and games! under one roof. In 2026, Into Games becomes part of Fantastická Ostrava, adding a dedicated game-development program to the festival. This connection links professional game creators with the general public.

When and where does the event take place?

The convention takes place on June 27–28, 2026 at Trojhalí Ostrava ↗, Ostrava, Czechia.

Ostrava is a former industrial powerhouse known for coal mining and steel production. Today, the city is undergoing a major transformation — shifting from heavy industry to digital innovation, creativity and modern technologies. With new cultural districts, a rebuilt city centre and a vibrant tech scene, Ostrava is emerging as one of the most dynamic cities in the Czech Republic and the wider CEE region. Is the event accessible?

Yes, the entire venue is fully wheelchair-accessible and suitable for visitors with limited mobility.


Will there be a cloakroom or luggage storage?

No, a cloakroom will not be available. Keep valuables with you.


Will there be food and drinks on site?

Yes. The food zone will offer a variety of meals.


Is there a quiet zone or meeting room?

You can relax in the food zone, outside, or in the nearby shopping centre.


Can I pay by card inside the venue?

Yes — card payments should be accepted everywhere.


Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available. Login information will be displayed throughout the venue.


Is smoking OK?

Yes but only outside. Inside is smoking and also vaping forbidden.


Is the event family-friendly?

Yes, there will be attractions for everyone.


Are pets allowed?

You may bring a small pet with you under certain conditions (a small pet means a cat, dog, rabbit, etc.). First of all, you must comply with the operating rules of Trojhalí Karolina (https://trojhali.cz/ke-stazeni.html). If you bring a dog to the event, it must be kept on a leash at all times in indoor areas and must wear a muzzle. If the animal is carried in a bag or handbag, it must be properly secured so that it cannot escape, bite anyone, or cause a disturbance. You are required to follow the instructions of the organizers and security staff. Animals must not roam freely and must not endanger or disturb other visitors. Please note that the festival may include loud music or sudden noises (e.g. during knight shows), which may be stressful or harmful for animals. You are also responsible for ensuring your pet has sufficient access to water and food. In case of any damage to exhibitions or property caused by your pet, you bear full responsibility. You are also obliged to clean up after your animal if it soils any area.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving on Friday, June 26 in the afternoon to check in, settle in and explore the city.


How do I get to the venue?

By car:
The best option is to park at the Forum Nová Karolina shopping centre.

By regional and long distance connections:
Train stations: Ostrava-Hlavní nádraží or Ostrava-Svinov
Bus stations: Central bus station "Ústřední autobusové nádraží" Airport: It’s also close to Ostrava Main Train Station and the Central Bus Station, with direct long-distance connections from CZ, SK and PL.

By public transport:
The venue is near the tram stop “Karolina” (lines 4, 10, 12, 13, 14).

Recommended hotels within walking distance: Kampus Palace, Imperial Hotel Ostrava, Stračena City Hotel, Mercure Hotel, Jan Maria hotel Ostrava, or Airbnb.

What is the event about?

The event brings together game developers, players, students, cosplayers, artists and industry professionals from across Czechia, Poland, Slovakia. It’s a place to learn, connect and get inspired — with talks for all skill levels, hands-on experiences, exhibitor showcases, networking that spark new ideas, collaborations and opportunities.


What language are the sessions in?

All sessions are held in English, as the event brings together visitors from Czechia, Poland, Slovakia and across the CEE region.


What is the recommended dress code?

Casual. Wear whatever you feel good in and does not disturb others.


What should I do if I lose my badge or wirstband?

Report it immediately at the entrance helpdesk.


Where can I find the event map and schedule?

The venue map and full schedule will be displayed at several points around the venue.
